Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic massage, also known as lymphatic drainage, is a gentle form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system to improve metabolism, promote the removal of bodily toxins and waste, and encourage a healthy immune system.

The lymphatic system is the most important organ in the body, but it is also the most neglected organ in the body. The lymphatic system is an extensive network of vessels, nodes and ducts. It is an integral part of the body’s circulatory and immune systems.

Our bodies are exposed to daily environmental pollutants through the air we breathe, the water we drink and in the chemicals found within the food we eat. Some of these pollutants are found in hydrogenated and processed foods. These pollutants can also be found in: deficient diets, hormone-injected animal products and even in antibiotic or genetically modified foods. Consequently, these pollutants will be present in the body due to our consumption of these foods. Classic conditions like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome often have a compromised lymphatic system.

The body can only evacuate the toxic burden and heal itself if it has a strong and healthy lymphatic system – the body’s powerful built-in piping system. At Physio Care & Rehab, we have created a program to help individuals with a compromised lymphatic system to treat their related health concerns effectively.
